Light up the Bay 2008

The 4th annual Light up the Bay will be held August 9th at dusk as one of the newly added Pirates Weekend festivities



Residents of all types and as many businesses as can are asked to add Xmas style lights to their homes camps docks and boats.The town would look great all light up said Sandy Bush a boat parade participant.People decorate for Halloween why not Pirates weekend said Linda and Toby Torbit also parade participants.Lawns and porches would look spectacular decorated in a winter or summer theme.This event can grow to be very popular and it would be fun to get together and see all those lights.

The boat parade will stage up in the bay in front of the town dock.It will procede past the Edgewood Resort to Artificial Island across to Anchor Island and Millionaires row then to Boldt Castle back across to Pine Tree Point past Bonnie Castle Rum runners then up to the Riveredge then The Floater  and on to the hospital (where we will put a show on for the patients) then back to the dock for a couttsey up close at Top of the Bay and Dock of the Bay where judging will take place .This is not a Chamber of Commerece event but it sure could be a staple for our business and community
