Ok, now this is a step in the right direction for the village's relationship with Boaters.
I was just sent this directly from the Village Offices.

"Due to the extreme low water conditions many local boaters are not able to access their docks and boat houses therefore the Village of Alexandria Bay Board of Trustees invites boaters to dock at the Upper James Street Dock Hopefully this will allow our residents and guests to enjoy the fall boating season.  Dock fees are only in effect from Victoria Day weekend to Labor Day therefore we do not have dock attendants or security available."
