"Rochester-based developers are hoping to build a "racino" resort in Alexandria Bay. River Isles, LLC wants to develop the now-vacant Bonnie Castle Recreation Center into a resort with video lottery terminals, harness racing, a hotel and restaurants. Developers say the project will create hundreds of permanent jobs and stimulate the region's economy. The developers, a group of Rochester businessmen with homes in the Thousand Islands, say financing is already in place for the $100 million project."
