When I asked for additional information about this is what I was told..

"We formed a corporation 4-5 yrs ago to try to control the Eurasian
Millfoil that's taking over Goose Bay.The weed has taken over faster
than we can raise money to do something about it. It now covers
approx 50% of the Bay, and the cost for getting it manageable is
upward towards $700,000. We are going to start in the spring, using
Renovate, which is an herbicide that will not harm fish or other
plants. Experts tell us it's the worst case they have ever seen, and
if something isn't done, Goose Bay will be marshland in 3-5 years.
That's it in a nutshell... we have meetings at the library once a
month, and have had several articles in the Sun."
