The 1000 Islands…we’ve seen them. We live among them. We enjoy them in a myriad of ways every possible minute we are able. This summer, however, we will experience them in a whole new way as they are filmed by helicopter in high definition video. Hailing from New York City, the helicopter and crew will be joined by a camera operator and a Cineflex Elite and Gyron camera system from California to film the breath taking beauty of the River from a bird’s eye view. Together the crew brings a resume of outstanding experience having filmed shows such as the Amazing Race, the NFL playoffs, Planet Earth and the Great Escape. They will be joined by Doug McLellan of the McLellan group based in Toronto as director of photography. All of the video will be shot in the high definition quality that we have come to enjoy in movie theaters as well as in the comfort of our own homes.

For four to Six days starting Friday June 14th the helicopter and crew, in coordination with 1000 Reflections photography will be in the air focusing on areas of interest on both the Canadian and US sides of the River. Capturing the beauty of our state parks, town, villages, waterfronts, islands, lakes, tourists attractions, and so much more, the high definition video which will be used to produce promotional materials, still shots and artwork, as well as documentary type movies that will showcase the splendor which is the St. Lawrence River.
