We searched our archives because our friend Dan Fowler actually met Angelo and made a video for abaynews.com last year. Angelo seemed like a pretty great guy in the video.




Dan Fowler is a former Alex Bay Local who now lives in Florida. He often makes videos for abaynews.com. This video was especially made for his Pal Vic Chaltain of Alexandria Bay who is probably the biggest boxing fan he knows!!

Anyway, the man in this video is Angelo Dundee who acted as a cornerman for Carmen Bassilio when Basilio defeated Tony DeMarco for the world welterweight crown and later Sugar Ray Robinson for the world middleweight crown.

The great Carmen Bassilio of course lived and trained in Alexandria Bay back in the day..
