You know.... I'm just a guy with a website.. abaynews.com is my personal site.. my blog.. my place to rant.. etc etc.. I'm not the official anything when it comes to Alex Bay... I post whatever I feel like posting and a lot of times I'm a complete a-hole when I'm bloggin about various things.. but it seems to work... The site gets a shit-ton of traffic and everywhere I go people tell me how much they love abaynews.com and much they love how ole Johnny T. keeps it real..

That being said.. based on my polar bear dip track record... would you expect that I would have info up about the 2012 Polar Bear Dip by now?.. ya, maybe you would.. and maybe you're right to think that.. after all I usually give that event 10 times more publicity than anyone else does.. WITH ZERO THANKS I MIGHT ADD..

But here's the deal.. I've been busy with my other shit and haven't had a lot of time for abaynews.com lately.. and to be real honest, sometimes I just get sick of working on abaynews.com so I take a break from it so I don't get burned out.. it is what it is..

Anyway, for 2 months now I've been sending anyone that asked about the Polar Bear Dip to the Alex Bay Chamber Site for info.. I just figured they could find out about it there... WELL.. GUESS WHAT ! There is zero mention of the 2012 Polar Bear Dip on the Chamber Site. NICE RIGHT !! It's not mentioned anywhere.. it's not in the event calendar.. not on the home page.. it's no where obvious..  I mean, I don't see it anywhere and I'm pretty sure I know a little about how to find things on web pages....

I can't even imagine how many people have searched for the info there and not found it... how many have wanted to find out when it was so they could rent a room.. blah blah blah blah... now that I look back I'm pretty sure I got at least 15 emails about it in the past 2 months.. unfortunately all of which I simply wrote back with the Chamber Link.. a link that did them no good..

So Chamber people... GET UR SHIT TOGETHER AND PUT SOMETHING UP.. I'LL DO THE SAME AS SOON AS I GET A CHANCE..

P.S. for future reference.. all you people with local events.. send me a nice jpeg image of your event flyer as well as any other relevant details, website link.. etc etc... if it's in Alex Bay and you have a decent looking flyer I'll probably mention it.. it's that easy.. I'm not going to go around searching for flyers every week though I do try to take pictures and post info for any that I come across..
