Steve Lavarnway took this picture while wandering around some local marshes near Alexandria Bay. Steve says it's a coyote, but I've shown the picture to a lot of people and many of them weren't sure what it was.. or why it's skinned.. or why it hasn't been eaten by anything. A bunch of people thought it sorta looked like a horse.. some said a deer.. and some thought it might be the mountain lion that was seen on someone's deer camera a while back near the dump... and reportedly shot and killed a bit later..

If it's a deer.. why skin it, not use the meat, and discard it in the marshes..
