Going, Going, Almost Gone.. The Sinking Boathouse Revisited

Back in April Johnny Truesdell of abaynews.com did a story on the Sinking Boathouse of The Thousand Islands..

The story had over 100 comments and over 10,000 page views in a matter of Days..
Then, right after Johnny's article Brian Dwyer of YYN did a story.

Followed by an update where he got ahold of the family that owns the Island and was told that they have plans to take it down this summer.

SO THE WORD IS... the family that owns the Island is upset and wants Johnny's head on a stick for running the story. OH WELL.. to Johnny it was a just great story about this area's past... if those people seriously think Johnny did the story with ill intent and just to get them in trouble they're out of their minds. Johnny didn't even know who owned the Island when he posted the boathouse pictures from this year nor did he know the story would get so much attention. Johnny saw this year's boathouse pics on Facebook, asked the poster if he could use the pics for a little story, searched the internet for any other relevant pictures & info, and that's pretty much how it happened..
Regardless.. now we have another player in the storytelling game of the Sinking Ina Island Boathouse.. T.I. Life Magazine has just published and article to trump all others.. It contains so much info on the island and boathouse that they deserve some sort of prize for their work.
So... go check that article out via the link below.. it is very very good and there is a lot of interesting history covered..
