"The Village of Alexandria Bay has scheduled the spring clean up week the week of May 16 through May 20, 2011. The schedule for the DPW pickup is:

Monday, May 16th: Avery, Northern, St Lawrence, Highland and Church,

Tuesday, May 17th: Otter, Bethune, Washington, Crossmon, Rockwell, Rock, Sisson, Fuller and Riverside,

Thursday, May 19th: Bolton, North Crossmon, Margaret, Catherine, Cornwall, Walton and Miller, and

Friday, May 20th: High, Crestwood, Mance, Cross, Starring, Adams, Anthony, Second, Holland, Carnegie Bay Road to the Irwin residence.

The DPW will pick up household items which include: chairs, tables, couches, televisions, microwaves, metal doors, windows, mattresses and box springs. White goods include: refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, dryers, stoves and hot water heaters.

Items that are prohibited include: car batteries, tires, construction debris, wood and wet paint cans.

Guideline for pickup are as follows: Items must be placed in separate piles, trash and recyclables will be picked up on the regularly scheduled day, only one trip down each street, and business owners must bring items to the Village garage, Monday thru Friday, between the hours of 7:00AM and 2:00PM during clean up week.

Items not picked up by the DPW must be removed from the curb no later than May 21, 2011. Bringing trash, garbage or recyclables in to the Village for clean up week or any other time is strictly prohibited. Anyone caught bringing items in will be fined $250.00 per occasion."
