The purpose of the special meeting is to discuss a 30 day liquor license waiver request received from the Riveredge Resort.

abaynews.com is hearing the following.. In a nutshell The Riveredge messed up and currently has no liquor license. They need a special waiver to get a new liquor license as soon as possible.

The Mayor is being his usual self and refuses to support their request. He has apparently gotten phone calls from a lot of people concerned about his actions, but he still wants to be difficult in regards to helping the Riveredge get their liquor license back.

Really, the point of the whole thing is that our busy season is almost here and a major business in the area needs a little help.. plus let's remember that a lot of local people work there..
