So yesterday (dec 10th, 2010) I walk out on my front porch in Alex Bay to check my mail and see this huge bird out the corner of my eye. It's big and it's going to town picking something apart in the snow. All I had was my phone with me, but I managed to get this video. I'm no bird expert, but it looked like a hawk to me. It left behind a pile of feathers and a little pool of blood and guts. I'm thinking it swooped down on one of those little holiday birds that hang out near my porch this time of year and took that sucker out. It was pretty wild to see that sort of thing right in the village.
