Does anyone remember this ? You should because it really wasn't that long ago..

"Here are some pictures of   Upper James Street when the Village attempted to improve the downtown atmosphere.  Without getting too negative, this project did not succeed because a few people did not go along with the idea.  This speaks to the topic “ Actually Making ABay Better”.  The project was completed with minimal costs to the Village and was an excellent example of what our downtown could look like.   Lets use the positive energy of these forums to get a project like this started again.  There will always be negative aspects to any change, however, it would be worth the effort to make the project work for everyone.   A project like this would enhance the efforts already made by some downtown business people to improve the appeal of our main street.
