Plans are underway for the 2nd Annual Eric Hutchinson Memorial Hockey Tournament scheduled for Friday, January 9 through Sunday, January 11, 2009 at the Town of Alexandria Municipal Arena and Bonnie Castle Recreation Center.

The first tournament will be open to all Tier III Tournament-Bound Squirt and PeeWee registered USA hockey players.  Team registration fee is $600, with a 4-game guarantee and a tournament T-shirt.  We hope to have 5 to 8 teams in each division.  There will also be a hospitality party for the parents, coaches and players.

Two Alexandria Central School alumni games will be part of the weekend events – one planned for those 35-and-under and one for 35-and-over, with the odd-and-even graduating years playing each other.  The participation fee for the alumni game is $10/player.

Last year’s tournament was a success and the Committee expects it to grow.  A plaque remains in the Alexandria Bay Arena with each year’s winning team engraved on it.

Those interested in helping with the Tournament are asked to call or e-mail – Tricia Beers (teyoungs@yahoo.com) 783-7317, Michelle Ferency 482-9423 or Cindy Chaltain (c-rella74@verizon.net) 482-9530.  The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 13th at 7 pm at the Bonnie Castle Recreation Center.
