So this past Friday I'm at a Deli that shall remain nameless and I order a couple lb's of Russer Wunderbar German Bologna..



The lady says "how would you like it" ?

I said "Shaved please"..

She then proceeds to give me more grief over the whole shaved thing than you could possibly imagine ? Comment after smart comment to myself as well as other people.

"I've never heard of anyone asking for Bologna Shaved"

"2 pounds, you want 2 pounds shaved?"

says to someone - "be with you when I am done, I'm building a house over here"

She just kept it up.. apparently trying to embarrass me and make me feel like I was causing a huge problem..

So I remained as pleasant as possible and tried to ignore her comments, but she seriously acted like I was asking her to give me her right arm. By the time she put .75 lbs on the scale with a sigh I finally said.. "you know what.. just make it a pound". I took it to the cashiers, paid for it, and left.

That being said, I've run a few slicers in my time. I know it takes longer to shave deli meat, but isn't that what they get paid to do? If anyone is wondering the deli counter wasn't even busy.

I don't know... did I ask for too much ?

I guess the bottom line is I'm not going back to a deli counter where I get shit for ordering something.
